I had my RRS scratched quite badly couple of weeks ago. It hasn't been keyed but I think more likely it was a kid(at a wedding) with a stone. Long scratch all way down passenger side and deep shorter scratch along tailgate. Managed to almost get rid of passenger side with a flat and buff, but tailgate one is blatant. Little f*ing bas* makes me so mad, my first 'expensive' car too.

Dont really want to have tailgate resprayed due to possibilty of not having a perfect paint match, is there any other way ? Evil or Very Mad

You should be just fine to go for a respray as the rear panel is all at different angles. It is where you have 2 flat panels side by side, one with a respray that you can have issues. I had the rear tailgate of my D3 resprayed (nervous as I was) and the bodyshop did an awesome job. (Went to a Ford shop who was authourised for Jags, n Astons etc.) 2010MY Land Rover Freelander 2 HSE

So many people with similarly bad experiences.

Anyone got encouraging news of one of these R soles ever being caught together with satisfying detail of rough or not so rough justice being applied.

They must own absolutely nothing of any worth themselves.....

Hi shuzzy,

if you havn't found anyone to sort your scratch out I can fully recommend a guy in Benfleet. He's in the yellow pages and comes to you (kind of chips away but does a fantastic job). I've used simon for years and so have friends and family.
He ytakes a look at it then quotes you . You have to give him the paint code (he tells you where to find it) then he gets the correct paint and lacquer. look up scratch sprays as he has a website co dot uk.

good luck

I know somebody in west Yorkshire

done a couple of jobs for me Thumbs Up

Firstly though can you feel the scratch with your finger nail or is it just a surface mark that could be polished out by a detailer?

A REAL Shame - I just don't go anywhere between Essex and South Suffolk in my own car - unless I can personally view it whilst it is unoccupied. Kinda defeats the purpose of a night out in comfort with the family.. Personal experiences in these counties are grim. Not going to commit myself online but I caught one little fuc**r. I persuaded him not to physically vandalise a car with his fingers again.

I park my SC 7 days a week on a public mainfare street in London. Never, ever been an issue. There are much bigger fish in the street.
They're not jealous or resentful. Just the Jeremy Kyle membership that, unfortunately, is growing.
