Just a quick update. Land Rover Assist finally came to the party with a more suitable loan car, and whilst it wasn't a RRS it was a nicely optioned Discovery 3 so much more enjoyable to drive than a base model Ford Mondeo. Only downer was that all of the National Parks were shut because of the Extreme Bushfire danger and the 42C temperatures all weekend.

Now I just need to wait and see how long it takes to fix my RRS... Yawn

Don't give the D3 back until you get yours back! And make sure you give it a thorough workout Evil or Very Mad

Honestly what a bunch or tightar*es LR and LRA are....make you beg to get something equivalent to what you paid for and then expect your patience to wait for parts and repair....what arrogance.

BMW always gave me an equivalent or better replacement. Thumbs Up RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof

I do find it frustrating that I have to fight tooth and nail to get any kind of service from LR. It's almost as if they think they're doing me a favour in trying to fix my car!!

I also own an Audi A3 and they can't bend over far enough to help us if anything ever goes wrong even though it cost about a 3rd of my RRS. When my cars been to Audi for repairs and services I've been given A6's, A4's and A3's with no dramas or reluctance on the part of Audi, so they clearly understand the concept of customer service. If only I could get LR to experience the Audi experience. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres.

I was told about 2 years ago that the whole brand was being looked at and surveys being done left, right and centre and watch this space...ra, ra, ra. Nothing has changed and LR/LRA are as arrogant as ever......deny any problems and just say it's normal.

Seriously, my car was about two weeks out of warranty and they were not going to honour warranty work on a problem that I had complained about 7 times during warranty and was never fixed!!!! Some upstart at Customer Care(less) Centre just basically said bad luck nothing more we can do. It was ultimately the dealer that helped out claiming it as engineering problem - ironically the problem they thought was the problem......wasn't. So I still have a noise in the transmission which, you guessed it.....LRA state is normal.....bullsh*t!

I have no problem with the dealer guys, they have always helped out and bent over backwards, it's the secret society above them I despise. They won't even let you talk to an area manager - you have to do everything through Customer Careless - try explaining your frustrations and problems to someone in a call centre!! Rolling Eyes

Vent, vent vent!! Thumbs Up Very Happy RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof

Lateral - I've been speaking to the area manager, and his boss the national manager... specifically the National Manager for Technical and Customer Service... Alas the experience is also not a pleasant one.. Land Rover Australia would be advised to remove the word "customer" from job titles and team descriptions, as quite clearly they don't want them, and don't care about them!
