Anyone else had problems with the Exhaust Gas Recycling (EGR) Valve? I have noticed that when I shut off the engine it literally chirps away for about 5 seconds. Normally when the engine is cut out you can here a very light electrical hum but this is much more pronounced. The service gave me some story about how this is quite normal but if this is the case, why do others I know with the same engine (TDV8) not know what I am talking about? I find it hard to accept that a car at this price should belch, fart and chirp when it's shut down, like some old Morris. It's going in on Monday to get the right front (passenger) seat fixed - it squeaks, rattles and moves - and also to have the rear hatch release fixed. Should I pick a fight about the EGR too? Otherwise it drives like a dream so I hate to bad mouth it  RRS TDV6 (gone)
