Are my TDV8 figures unusual then? I feel like I'm bragging but on a 70 mile trip round the M40 and M25 at rush hour, I get about 30mpg. On a cross country run towards Reading I get around 25mpg, averaging 26-27 each week (and resetting the trip computer each time I fill up). I do tend to relax and go with the flow, but I'll sit at 80ish when I can and might boot it on the A340 when I'm in the mood or to pass the odd slower car. I don't really have the need for town driving.

My fuel economy got better after the first 2000 mile or so, even though it had done 30,000 when I bought it. I think it took that long for me to get used to it. Then I took it for a couple of 500 mile day trips and it got better still.

Hi, sorry to jump on this late.
I have just gone from a RRS SC to a 2.7 due to change of job. I have (wife) has been using the car on school runs, shops etc during the week and I am getting 26 mpg and when I get back we go to our holiday house, 1hrs drive at 75 and I get 33mpg.
I am we'll happy with this or is my reading wrong ?
I should say that I have had the car remapped/chipped or what ever its called.
I miss the performance of SC but I love the car.
