To aid your tyres you also have the Snow setting on the TR knob which will remap the engine, gearbox and DSC/HDC , but just remember that NO car, 4wd or any other drive is going to be "brilliant" at stopping on snow and ice unless you fit studded tryes. RRS has a lot of weight with which to help gravity and the laws of physics and takes a huge amount of stopping when it starts sliding on a slippery surface. At least it is better at keeping traction than many cars but once lost you have as much chance of stopping as any other car. I learned this the hard way when I had a Ford Fiesta and went off the raod on ice early one morning, only to have an Audi Quattro Coupe (yes one of the very early ones) come through the hole I made in the bridge walls and land almost on top of my Fiesta......................... the driver thought with all the fancy gizmos fitted to his Audi Q he would be able to drive on anything - he forgot he couldn't stop though! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Seconded, I have never driven a worse vehicle in the winter than the RRS SC, it is lethal.

I have tried 3 sets of "all season" tires and made no difference, putting Nokian SUV5 Studded on this weekend.

Crossed fingers.
