Key in ignition, turn to position 1 and put the buckle in and out of the catch 9 or 10 times. Should be sorted. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Mine RRS SC (4 Days old!) beeps when I come to a halt or when traffic stops behind me, or when I accelerate on an on-ramp to a highway/motorway.

Yes it does occur under 15 mph - especially when I creep up to a stop light or something.

Is the sensitivity adjustable? Or just turn PDC off? 06 RRS SC - W O W !!! (Blk/Blk)

There's a PDC on/off button on the console above the audio screen. This just cancels the beeping up until you turn the car off. It'll be on the next time you start.

Think I read somewhere that the PDC can be set off by stray signals of certain frequencies....or could be total b*llocks. I get the odd bleep for no apparent reason.

I would love to find a way to switch off the 'Key in Igntion' bleeps!!

As for the overspeed warning. It does flash up 'Caution driver overspeed' warning quickly but then you are concerntrating on the road ahead!

Some news for beep's key igntion??

PLEASE!!

Really? That's not right... Confused

You turn the key back to the off position and then the beeping should stop after the key has completely left the barrel. At least that's what mine does...

Yes, but then there's something wrong with the barrel. There is a little switch in the barrel which will send a signal that the key has left the barrel... the one on my barrel (oops... the ignition barrel) is faulty. It sometimes works and sometimes don't!

So what I have to do is keep on poking the key into the barrel and pulling is out repeatedly UNTIL the beep stops! Then I can arm the alarm. Try doing this every day countless times... now I know why most porn stars always look tired! Malaysia Boleh!

Evil or Very Mad Yes, on order for 1 month already... another 11 to go.

I've got quite used to it already. Some folks at carparks have asked me what I was doing. I just tell them that this is the latest security feature on all new Land Rover cars. I tell them that while I am poking the key in and out of the ignition barrel, the car security system is actually reading my 'strokes' to check if I am the legal owner. Mad

Of course some of the folks just give me a weird stare, shake their heads and move on. Those who really listen and look interested, I tell them that in future all owners of Land Rover vehicles will have to produce a blood sample for DNA testing before the car will allow them to start it!!

I do get the occasional laugh, though! Wink Malaysia Boleh!
