United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red
D4 catching up with RRS

The D4 with the 3 litre diesel is a whole lot better driving machine than the D3. The extra power & torque is very welcome indeed - but the really neat trick is how much better the vehicle handles. Much much closer to a pre 2010 MY RRS now. The centre of gravity on the Disco still feels a bit higher than in a Sport, but only just. No school bus should go this well and be so plush inside ! And its a fair bit cheaper than the Sport - whilst many would say it offers a lot more vehicle for the money.

But don't let anyone tell you that the 3 litre TDv6 is a match for the 3.6 litre TDv8. The gap has closed but the V8 still outguns the V6 in every department. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

I presume you mean the pre MY2010 RRS as the new RRS is even better. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Yep, drove the 3.0 RRS at the weekend and it's a MASSIVE improvement on the outgoing 2.7. It's pretty damn brisk actually.... it's not the TDV8 by any means, but it's bloody good. Although, I have to say, not a patch on the SC FFRR that I also drove. Like I said to James, if I had 80k to spend on a car I know where it would be going Bow down

Not having driven any of the 2010MY RR's, my heart is still with the FFRR S/C.

Your comment just reaffrims that however I would still want to drive the FFRR/RRS side by side just to be 100% sure... Whistle Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
