Just this minute come of the phone with the dealer. He swears blind that they have had no information on the RRS getting the TDV8 engine. If the RRS does get it it will be end of 2007. Royal Ascot Garage has received no information at all apart from RR getting it this year. No "official" information has been sent to any LR dealer in the country aparantly! People have put deposits down for the TDV8 "just incase" the RRS gets it this year.

Sounded like a "there, there, run along now" standard line to me... I suppose until it's "officially" announced, the party line will be to keep the cakehole shut.

My dealer called me this morning and said that they are about to start taking deposits on the TDV8 RRS for Dec/Jan delivery, so I have paid £500 and am apparently first on the list. Although considering the omissions on VA’s poverty spec HSE I might wait about 3 months from launch so that Landrover are fully practised in bolting all of the parts on. (No offence TB)
