Times like that makes you appreciate being in a big 4x4.

Their eyes were probably fixed on number plate!

Hopefully all will be repaired soon. Thumbs Up Gone: RRS : HSE : TDv6 : 57 : Java Black : Ebony : 20"

He appears to have hit square on right across the rear crossmember, hence so little obvious damage to the RRS. I just hope that there isn't damage to the chassis...

I notice electrics cover off - did you have towbar on? I cannot see in the pic - I leave mine on now all the time for this reason (having encountered it once) towbar seems to give that bit of protection......

Trust all safe and well?

I agree it's the hidden aspects of a crash. At least you weren't in a Mini or Smart car Thumbs Up Gone: RRS : HSE : TDv6 : 57 : Java Black : Ebony : 20"

No towbar fitted - the cover just seems to have popped off in the accident and I didn't fancy loking for it in the debris in the outside lane.

Had 3 passengers in the car at the time - just returning home from the Goodwood Revival Festival - seemed fine at the time but have a very sore neck and upper back now.

Odd you mention a Smart car - the missus drives one of them Surprised

Have also been involved in a less serious incident recently but the other car was a Honda CRV. Makes you appreciate having the extra weight of a Land Rover to protect you. The person who stopped and gave his details as a witness to my incident was most impressed how the RRS pulled up from 55-60mph in about 3 car lengths in a straight line despite having 2 wheels well offroad and sunk into a muddy soft verge before I steered back onto the right side of the carriageway and halted. The Honda ended up facing in the opposite direction to that which it was travelling fortunately with only a dented rear passenger door 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Thanks for all the kind wishes. We are all relatively well - a few headaches, stiff necks and sore backs but compared to what could have happened feel we have all come out of it safely due to the RRS.

Expecting a call from an accident repair engineer soon to let me know what the full damage to the car is. Fingers crossed...

Surprise surprise it's a BMW driver Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Glad you're ok Exclamation

Make sure you milk that whiplash. I'm sure you will all need several weeks of private physio treatment Whistle

(Speaking as an Ex Combat Medic - I would honestly strongly advise getting some treatment asap as whiplash is not nice and can cause long term problems if not treated properly in the early stages. A GP might give you a neck collar, DON'T wear one get some ice packs and see a sports physio or Osteopath Exclamation ) TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone
