2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zermatt Silver
Collected her this morning!!

Collected my RRS SC (07) this morning from Southampton and got to say we (the "Royal We") are very pleased. The traffic was a nightmare all the way back and we didn't really notice. I get why you guys are passionate about these cars.

I will post some pics tomorrow once the car has been given a good clean - wasn't prepared too well. Needs clay barring and a decent wax.

The only thing I don't like is the preious owner has fitted chrome wing mirror covers and they really aren't to my taste. Is it just a case of prizing them off or is there a special technique for removing them?? Will it leave a mess of dried adhesive on the original wing mirror and is there a good method of cleaning this off?? Advice on this would be great as I really need to them off soonest.

Very Happy

Spain 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

I doubt it would leave great mess as normally they are stuck with strong adhesive pads. It has been known for dealers to use glue though. I would order yourself some body coloured upper wing mirror covers from the dealer. They look better than all other options imho.

I've yet to buy a car from a main dealer who have prepared a car properly.

all purpose cleaner does a pretty good job of removing sticky adhesive.

To get the chrome off your wing mirrors you could use a 0.06 Guitar string and use a Flossing motion ( Teeth ) that way you wont risk the damage by prising off ..........

Chrome covers off - looks much better. Gave her a decent clean and clay barring and has come up nicely.
As soon as I can work out how I will post some photos - as thick as a Whale Burger when it comes to IT!!

Lovin the SC already and am already considering a 5.0L in about 6 months when an ex demo is available. Not convinced about the new interior though. Lots of people seem to love it and I can see why but am I the only one who feels it is getting very coupe like? It not too disimilar in feel to the Jag I just got rid off>

Happy Bear Though!!

Congrats, Enjoy. Thumbs Up

thought you might hit some traffic from Southampton back to Essex, but as you say best motor to suffer it in. Made my journey back from Dorset last week much more civlised.

I agree with you on the original interior, I still like it has an impression of function and technicality to it. Without being utilitarian like the Disco, or too cosseted like the FFRR.

Although I am very impressed with the new interior, a well timed upgrade and less plasticky than the original.

Got the car from Hunters in Southampton and dealt with Jeremy. He was very good and friendly although the customer service was not a patch on what I received from Jaguar (Ipswich), who were excellent.

Thanks Schmoogle for the photo info - finally managed to create an album with a couple of pics. They are not the best; will put some more on soon.

I haven't seen a colour coded RRS in silver.

Are you pleased with the colour? Gone: RRS : HSE : TDv6 : 57 : Java Black : Ebony : 20"

Wasn't sure about the colour before I saw it in the flesh, as i don't tend to like silver cars as a rule. I do like it, especially with the colour coded bumpers and now that I have removed the chrome wing mirror covers.
Just getting used to all the controls and using the voice command etc Got to try and work out what is trully functional and what is more of a gadget.
Do intend to get off road soon but can't seem to find much in Essex / Suffolk.
