Used Car Values Going Up???!!!

I watched the news on Saturday morning, and one of the major headlines, was talk of the price of used cars, in general going up for the first time in a long long while (if not history)....

The news report then went onto say that the average Focus 4-5 years old, was now worth about £600 more than it was a year ago.....they then named a few other cars ( i lost interest for a second), then they mentioned that a Vogue (it was a 54 plate) was now worth 3.5k (yep, thats £3500) more on average than a year ago???!!!! Surely thats totally inaccurate??....or is it???

How have website members, found used car prices of late( especially Land Rover prices).have they gone up...have they gone down...would be v v interested to hear a professionals (dealer) point of view as well!

I had a car I recently sold that in the space of 6 months had increased in value by £5k. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I'm not in the industry but just from watching the trader every week, prices do seem to be rallying quite strongly.
