Well, spent the day kicking our heels in Limassol waiting for the service on the Sport.
Needed service, squealing brakes seeing to and the suspension warning light (Normal ride height only message).
Outcomes?
Service done, front AND rear pads changed = €753.15 (c. GBP655)
They had the car up on the ramps and removed the 3 (or 4) guard plates under the car and apparantly it was absolutely packed with baked mud which had set almost like concrete!!!
They rang me to tel me they'd chipped away at what they could but it needed to go to a valeter to get it up on their ramps and jetwash the underside.
They couldn't fit it in today so that job remains unresolved which i'm a bit narked about.
They reckon the fault is the compressor but i'm not so sure as we tested it there, in the compound and the car raised and lowered fine.
Doesn't this mean it is more likely the ride height sensor, maybe obstructed by caked on mud?
Indicated cost to replace compressor = €1,000 fitted inc VAT
Sensor? about €40 plus fitting
So I need to take it to a valeter in paphos and get it cleaned up and take it from there.
Bummer!!!!

Whatever you do, don't let anyone put it on a ramp and jetwash the underside of the car.
The high pressure of the jetwash could force water through the seals into places you don't want water.
I had the Transmission ECU Module fail on me, they couldn't find what was wrong for months. I kept getting error messages Limited Gears/Park Brake etc.
Dealer kept checking all faults and followed LR procedures(supposedly), and it kept recurring.
Finally after Dealer had it for two weeks, went thru 8 different faults, and some free upgrades. The Service Manager was very pleased with himself handing the car over to me assuring me that the car was faultless, he started it up 'Transmission Fault No Gears'.
They had it another week, new transmission ECU needed this one had corroded from water ingress. It's located under the battery box and aparently LR procedures do not state inspecting the ecu for condition.
Their diagnosis, the car had been jetwashed from underneath or under bonnet, and forced water thru the seals.
Anyways, had this not have been found before the LR warranty was up it would not have been covered by the LR extended warranty as this would be classed as water ingress, which isn't covered.
