Question for James at CHPR (now Lookers Park Royal)

Morning James,

now I have no experience of CHPR but all your feedback on here seems excellent. Now for the question:

Did you go to a different Dealer School from my Dealer Stratstone Woodford?

Or is it if you fail your Dealers exams are you sent to a bad Dealers?

Trying to get problems addressed here is like finding a virgin in Essex.

Do they not realise that you do not visit a Dealer Service Dept for a day out or to wile away an Autumn day, while they get their arse in gear and look at your car.

In reception for 30 minutes, they managed to move my car from the parking space I left it in, with no cars either side, to another one with RRS either side and nearly ding the door, fella had to limbo in and out of the door it was that close.

Reason, they like to have them all nicely lined up Shocked
WTF, how about getting it into the workshop?

Asked for keys back and left, and requested Service Manager call me. Thought I had got past the poor service with this Dealers obviously not.

Another wasted morning, all part of owning a Land Rover and using this Dealer. Evil or Very Mad

Just as I was thinking of buying the MY2010, not so sure now. Sad

Sounds as bad as BMW dealers. Censored had my car for 2 days this week and it still has to go back, incompetent a$$es. Maybe I should have stuck with "never buy another BMW" Rolling Eyes L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Will, I really don't want to utter the words 'never buy another Land Rover'

But it's not what I expected, when I bought the car. Best car I've ever had, but the levels of service are so bad they're outweighing car itself. Bored with the hassle. Yawn

Guess some dealers are good and some are bad, we're just unlucky.

You need to be rattling their cage big time. Why throw away a great car.

At the end of the day, you can dress the shop window as nicely as you like, but the monkeys behind the scenes are the ones that ultimately make you decide to return or not, by being able to repair the issue/s first time around.

As most, my pet hate is being fed bullshit, I would rather they (dealers) be up front sometimes. Much chance of that happening as us having an unelected pillock in power Whistle Whistle Whistle aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh Wink

In short, write, fax, call....complain and change your dealer (if you can). If you can't, do all of the previous and just shout at them........works for me (albeit I did not take that approach with BMW this week, I was in a nice mood) Mr. Green L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Yeah, it's okay. Suprisingly nimble for something that is the size of a super tanker, little disappointing engine wise (silent), but asides from that its a nice car. Gadget central in fact. Mr. Green

Will I keep it long..................probably not, I have had it a week now, maybe its time for a change Wink L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

I seem to be in the minority in never having had bad service from a BMW dealer.... a lot of my colleagues bitch heavily about their BM dealers too Confused

Will's only managed a "lowly" 750 though - that would be 4 cylinders short, by my reckoning Wink

1. Yes, I went to another dealer school as I fell into a different catchment area!

2. I guess that the better qualified you are, then the better dealer you work for!

Our PLC motto is "customers for life", and I guess that if you aim for that on a daily basis then you shouldn't go too far wrong!

James Thumbs Up

PS If you do want to try another dealer then we'd love to see you. Just give Lisa in service a call on 0208 992 2299 and she will work out a plan with you to get over the geographical issue!!

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Autobiography Stornoway Grey

BMW dealer I bought my 5 series from was excellent!! Cant praise them highly enough. Car was late being delivered due to DVLA in Inverness being too slow with m plate and I was off on hols to the borders when was due delivery. So they took it to the borders for me and dropped it off there and took away the Audi (no not a a3.....)!! Also got a couple of freebies thrown on the rear seat for the delay. Town and County so far have been good. Dealing with any faults quite simply, not that there have been many that is. Car was actually delivered a day early. 1st time Ive actually dealt with a local dealer for a while to be honest but after getting right roayally shafted with the xc that I bought from Croydon dealers I was wary of buying over t'internet again!! Most of the dealers round here need a rocket inserted in a dark place to get them to do anything. Saying that though theyre NOTHING compared to Doves Volvo/JLR in Croydon!! And they'd the cheek to send me a letter through asking if Id like to have my 1st service on the car done there so they could keep up their "outstanding levels of constomer service" MY ARSE!!!!!
