All depends on what you want from the car?

Speed and lots of fuel stations
Speed and V8 growl
Cruise along V6 MPG

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

TDv8 is the only one with 3.6ltr, 2010MY TDv6 has 3.0ltrs and nearly the output of pwoer and torque of the TDv8
Supercharged will become 5.0litres this month but you can order one now unless you can find a dealer with a 4.2 in stock or late used.

TDv8 v 5.0ltr S/C - depends what you want! Relatively frugal consumption and decent performance for most folks from tractor juice or Eurofighter performance with the associated petrol consumption - the S/C also might not be worth so much when you come to sell............................ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Well there isn't much between the new 3.0ltr and the 3.6 at the moment! So if you want a new car then go for a TDV6 3.0ltr and save some ££££££s and have better mpg, if you are going for a used car then go for a TDv8 3.6ltr - my TDv8 gets better mpg than my previous RRS TDv6 with 2.7ltrs in everyday motoring and has an awful lot more go that that ever had....................... and a nice V8 growl! The S/C is a great motor but a gas guzzler. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

What Tim said really.... you might even suggest the best buy is a 6month/1yr old TDV8. Already suffered that initial drop in price, broken in, hopefully any showstopping issues resolved... Thumbs Up

Germany 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

If you have the choice TDV8 or SC.

The TDV6 is a great engine, but nothing compared to the others two.

And to decide between TDV8 and SC you just have to think about two things: "How many miles do you drive per year?" and "Can you afford 40 cents for petrol per mile or does 25 cents sound more applicable?" Question RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink
