will disco roof rails fit a MY 2010 RRS ?

Just bought a MY2010 Sport.

I'm trading in my disco but don't want to fork out the 300+ quid for new roof rails if I can use the ones off my disco ?

does anyone know if they will fit ?

cheers

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

RRS is a fair bit wider than D2 - my FFRR crossbars wouldn't fit when I tried them at the local dealer before buying the my 1st RRS. The other problem was that the rail fitting on the cross bar was different.

Why not take the bars into the dealer and ask them to try them across an RRS roof? The roof rail/load carrier system fits into mountings in the black plastic rails that run along the length of the roof, but I think you will be looking for some new crossbars 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just what I would suggest.... I doubt they will fit, the body panelling is virtually all different.

I've got the cross bars from a previous RRS so they should work.... it's the actual rails I was wondering about.

The D3 cross bars do not fit the RRS on the pre facelift models. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

The feet themselves are identical and fit into the rails on both the RRS and LR3, however the LR3 cross bars are not as wide as the RRS, so you'll come up about 2 inches short.

I have modified for a friend a set of extra RRS cross bars and shaved off 2 inches to make them fit onto their LR3, so if you could find just the bars themselves from an RRS you could use the same feet.

The construction of the bar is uniform from end to end, you could even have someone manufacture them if you could not buy them separately. PJPR

sorry, I'm not being clear. - my fault.

I actually mean the two permanently attached rails that run the lenght of the roof on which the cross bars fit into. Thumbs Up

will these if unscrewed from my disco fit my new 2010 rrs ?

I already have a set of disco and as set of rrs cross bars no no problem there.

cheers

The ones on the RRS are longer than those on the d3 so the answer is unfortunately not. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
