Unfortunately I think the loss of Ted Kennedy will be to the detriment of the less well off in the USA, he was a great campaigner for social justice in a system where there is very little help for those who are not so well off. In particular the bosses of the big health insurance companies will be happy that he has passed on as they have now lost an "enemy" "on the Hill".

I don't agree with a lot of what Kennedy supported but he was a big behind the scenes person in helping to settle the Northern Ireland problem here - even if he was on the wrong side.................... we in the UK have a fair bit to thank him for as was made clear this year when he received an honorary Knighthood from the Queen in recognition of what he did achieve in Northern Ireland.
