2008 Supercharged Options on Steering Wheel?

I've seen photos of the steering wheel that has 6 buttons on it, others where it has only 5. Does anyone know what these do and what option is extra (or not included) between these two variants?
pics attached,
thanks.

No pics attached Wink

The only differences I can think of would be the presence or otherwise of the PTI (phone integration) controls, but if this is an SC, then they've always had PTI as standard so can't imagine it would be that.

Yes Tim but it's the extra button on the wheel. My old TDV6 without ACC only had five buttons, 2 on the LHS and 3 on the RHS, mt TDV8 with ACC has 3 buttons on each side. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

And my SE was the same compared to the TDv8 VA! The difference with the 2010MY is the round button on the wheel I think.......................... IIRC before TDV8 only S/C had 3 switches for the Cruise Whistle 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Right! Thumbs Up

The 5-button steering wheel has 3 buttons on the right side (for audio control) and 2 buttons on the left (for cruise control)

The 6-button type (only on vehicles with ACC) has an extra switch on the left top. This switch is to set (increase/decrease) the gap to the vehicle ahead. Smile Malaysia Boleh!

Sorry for no pics! I still don't see where the upload option is on this site... but you answered the question.
Anyhow, I'm in NYC and looking at at 2008 SC. Two-time Disco owner, long-time Rover fan, time to get some road speed and touring comfort.

If money was no option I'd hold out for the 2010, but truth be told I'm not as in love with the roof line and ext. styling from what I've seen. It looks less Rover, if I can say that.

Also, Rover's "imposed" 15000 service intervals lead me to believe they want to cover themselves on generation 1 of the new engine.

The 15k service interval is nothing new (not in the UK anyway).... Very Happy

The external updates are going to be divisive I think.... they'll grow Thumbs Up

LR's next techno advance ..............................Voice activated gear changes really would be a first. But on 2nd thoughts, maybe they need to get the current system working properly for everybody before they advance to phase 2. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
