TMC on Sat Nav

Just got my supercharged RRS. It's got the touch screen sat nav but no TMC. Does this mean its not the 'premium' sat nav? If so, any ideas how easy/how much it is to add the TMC?

Thanks

It should have it - why do you think you don't? Is it because the icon on the top left of the screen is struck through? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

It's a 'grey import' non-UK spec. I thought it WOULD have tmc.

I say it hasnt because I cant see the 'RDS-TMC' button on the navigation menu and, so far anyway, not seen any TMC displays/alerts. My last car had it and it worked great.

I'll have another look tomorrow. Reading the posts here it looks as though the signal sometimes isnt great..

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

All UK spec cars with premiun nav have it as standard....................... yes cover is not great, I hardly get any warnings up here in Central Scotland but it has always worked well when I drive the length of the UK, and often offering alternative routes to avoid whatever is being flagged up, although often after a delay has cleared the Highways agency don't always transmit an "all clear" signal.
Being a grey import may mean the car was built for a market where there is no TMC, do you know which market the car was built for? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Barbados!

It doesnt have heated seats or the heated front screen; it DOES have 20inch stormer alloys. The bluetooth phone integration all seems standard too, as is the alarm/immobiliser system.

It's got the European dvd/map in and the instruction booklet looks to be the standard one talking about TMC.

Bet you have some fun when it comes to service time then!
Might be worth having a look to see if the seats have the elements already in them as then all you would need are the switches and enabling..................... those heaters are very useful on cold winter mornings, 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

How do you check for the heating elements? I have the same situation with a HSE without heated seats, everything else as standard.

lol i probably will tho the dealer was happy to configure the keys and central locking for me which is usually done as part of the pdi

the sat nav is troubling me though. i cant key in any destinations so i wonder if either its faulty or needs some activation/set up routine before it works fine

i like yr idea about the heater elements....(!)

have also posted a query about changing leather inserts in door cards for wood. not sure if its easy or not
