Belgium 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
I'm quite chuffed with my little "SUV" :)

Took the RRS out on the Nordschleife today...

Overtook more cars than I expected, one of them being a 944 Turbo (and yes, the guy was definitely trying, in a straight line he gained on me, in the corners, I got him back)

No, drove there after work (was in Luxemburg), did my few laps, then drove back to my hotel in Luxemburg.

You are saying that you were giving the 944 turbo hard time with an RRS on Nordschleife?
A Boxter would be faster around that track than the new 5.0 liter RRS S/C...
But anyway hope, that you have enjoyed it.

Not only giving it a hard time, I overtook it a few bends after the "Karussell".

I'm smart enough to realize that a 944 Turbo should normally be quite a lot faster with a decent driver than a 216bhp 2520kg SUV. The driver of the 944 was definitely pushing it, but by the looks of it, at his personal driving limit. If I hadn't braked a few times in some corners, I'd have easily run over him.

And for what it's worth, I've driven over 250 laps on the Ring in amongst other cars (mostly BMW) my Lotus Elise S1 with JDM Civic Type R engine and my TVR Tuscan. Maybe that's got something to do with it too...

I have a 944 as a track-day-car (not a T), and it's fair to say that I drive the occasional RRS.........

All I can say is that it must have been his first trip around and he was getting used to the layout. That said, a 5.0 SC would eat my porka alive!
