2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
Palm Pre and the Range Rover Sport Bluetooth

Picked up the Palm Pre Saturday morning and hooked it up to my RRS SC! Turns out that it is not clear over the Range Rover Sports Bluetooth setup... Any ideas of what I can do to get this working better?

FYI: I have a 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged

As you have an older model RRS, there is a number of software upgrades to the PTI that your dealer can do for you, but bear in mind the Palm Pre hasn't made it onto the approved phones list yet so it's not been tested by LR. Very Happy

This phone doesnt work well with the RRS. I am very disappointed Mad

If anyone has a workaround or fix, please let me know... I think something like this happened with a couple blackberry models...

Your phone is still pretty new - LR don't move as fast as the mobile phone industry I'm afraid. As time passes you might find solutions crop up, or LR approve it for use - in the meantime, why not pick up a second hand 6230 for peanuts and use that for in the car?

My network is Sprint. I think I would have to use a different phone number while i am in the car... I dont want to do that... If you have a better solution or a different way to set it up, please let me know!

We don't have Sprint in the UK - but some providers here do a dual-SIM deal, whereby you can have two phones with the same number, not sure if that would apply to you. Otherwise, set one phone up to divert to the other for when you're in the car. I know it's not perfect, but if you can't get your current phone to work with the PTI then the only other solution is to go and have a third-party product fitted (e.g. Parrot).
