TONIGHT I WENT OUT TO MY RRS AND UNLOCKED IT A USUAL TO GET SOMETHING FROM THE CAR AND THEN RELOCKED IT, TEN MINUTES LATER I WENT BACK OUT FOR SOMETHING ELSE TO FIND THE SAT/NAV WAS STILL LIT UP WITH THE L/R LOGO AND THE RADIO LIT BUT NOT ON. I STARTED THE CAR RAN IT FOR 30 SECS AND SWITCHED OF AND SO FAR ALL NOW SEEM FINE. MY CONCERN IS HAD I NOT GONE BACK OUT THE POWER WOULD HAVE BEEN DRAINING OVER NIGHT AND MAY HAVE ALSO RESULTED IN SCREEN BURN.
ANY IDEAS, I AM STARTING TO WONDER ABOUT THE SOFTWARE UPGRADE THAT SOME OF YOU HAVE MENTIONED AS I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WHERE I HAVE TO SEARCH FOR A TMC STATION BEFORE I CAN USE IT AS THE SAT/NAV IS NOT STORING CLASSIC FM???????? Michael

I got very concerned re this problem too However I am to understand it does stay on for a while ( you need to time it ) but when mine went in for other issues ( new battery ) I think this was cured as it hasnt done it since. Def. get it checked out.

Can't say I've 3ever had an issue with TMC in any car I have had it in. It just sits there and does it's stuff. Mind you, the TMC logo on the Sat Nav screen is so small it's not wonder I never look at it or notice it.. L319 D4 HSE

Called at the dealers yesterday about the system not storing Classic FM and allowed myself to be fobbed off.
Still not working and starting to iritate as I find a working TMC as on my other car is very helpful.
I think I will have to go back and press a bit harder. Michael
