United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Towbar Electrics - New Twist!!

Asked for towbar electrics yesterday to be added to RRSport - the N & S plug option.

Answer from dealer - the current supplier of these components has gone bust and LR are trying to source new parts and a new supplier Shocked

You could not make this up some days..........

Can these be sourced from elsewhere by chance?

Many thanks in advance. Smoke me a kipper: I'll be back for breakfast.

RRS HSE TDV6 gone after 15 months since new - will not be missed I'm afraid - bit of a gremlin in there somewhere - too many issues. Replaced with FFRR Vogue TDV8 - very nice - not as sporty (of course) but absolute luxury.

On this occasion I don't think your dealer is telling you porkies. Whistle This has been substantiated by the parts manager at Yeovil LR who is an honest top bloke. E blag, or someone getting rid of their tow equipped RRS that can be bothered to take the electrics off, look like your main options at the moment, if you want to stick to N and S. RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

Or 13 pin electrics and a converter plug (or take the opportunity to rewire whatever you're towing with the superior 13 pin plug). Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Confused What's so surprising? If no one buys cars, LR don't sell them. If LR don't sell them, they don't order the parts. If they don't order the parts, the suppliers don't make them. If the suppliers don't make and sell parts, they go bust.

Why do you want twin N and S electrics?

Now that I am officially in the family I am naturally defensive of people bad mouthing the brand Smile

The twin N and S pack has indeed become hard to find due to the supplier going down the pan

On the other hand unless you are a caravanner with an old van are you sure the N and S is actually what you need?

This forum has a great search function
Maybe you need to dabble.....
