Has anyone ever used an Atera-Strada DL3?

I finally got the Atera Strada DL3, which is absolutely fantastic, much much better than the Thule one!

The Thule tips directy down with the bikes, to gain access to the back, but the Atera slides out about 30cm, and the downwards, with much more balance, and much more stability.

Of course the warning is too late, as the car is 1.2M longer, but the are not beeping all the time if that's what you mean.

I think it depends on your bikes The carrier sits a bit lower than the sensors, and does not affect them, but of course if you have a bunch of bikes obstructing the sensors, they may go off. However, I think I read somewhere that the reverse sensors are disabled when the RRS is pulling a trailer, and hence also when connected to a bike carrier

I have never used a bike carrier on my RRS - I bought one that fits over the rear hatch but when I saw the way the straps pressed on the spoiler (as reported by James) I took the rack straight back to Halfords and got my money back. Might have to change my 90 for a 110HT to get the bike in the back! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
