which Bluetooth car kit ?

hi i have a Jan 2006 RRS HSE but was just before they standardised on the Bluetooth, i have had a parrot kit in the past and wondered if i can use the already fitted micro phone for voice activation or will i need a seperate microphone? also whats the best solution for fitting an Ipod so that i can charge and control through the volume controls rather than using aux jack and having to use I pod on max volume? is there a simple (cheapish) option that allows the use of the radio disply?

thanks for any advice or recommendations on thsi

Welcome to the forum Thumbs Up

If you get a Parrot fitted they supply a separate mic, which normally clips into the overhead light cluster somewhere. It would be much much easier to use this than try and cut into the voice activation mic.

As for iPod integration - LR provide an iPod adapter kit, but it's a bit rubbish to be honest and doesn't really fulfil the need.. Search the site for various other ways of doing it, it has been discussed many times.

thanks for that Shmoogle, i just figured as it had a mic already fitted it meight look tidier, but get your point, i have the old parrot kit from my old car but i left the mic in the car as i did not ant to take all the side pillar covers of and disdturb the air bags and possibly set them off? anyway i suppose i coan get another mic and fit it with a T harness conector into the radio. I gather there is nothing to difficult about getting the radio outof the RRS ? dont let the Sh*t grind you down
