I am getting well pi@@ed off now. over a week ago I was driving my car to work and got the engine system failure message appear and car went into crawl mode coupled with lots of black smoke out the rear end. Car went into the garage was diagnosed as needing new EGC valves and came home the same day all fixed (not) I took it straight onto the local A road and put the foot down, plumes of black smoke and 4 engine system failures in 3 miles. Plugged back into diagnostics and it then needed a new supercharger, this requires the engineer from the warranty company to pay a visit to ensure the new supercharger is required. They call 2 days later all done, but not fixed still smoking out the back, my intercooler has burst its welds due to too much pressure when the supercharger failed. The warranty company needs to come out again to asses the intercooler then they will replace it. I have been without my car for a week now with no courtesy car as they are all booked up, no communication from them and every time I call its just a fob off. It better be finished today as going on holiday tmrw in the car and the luggage definitely wont fit in the wife's car. And all the airport pre-booked car parking is all paid for on the number plate of the RRS etc, I know this can be changed but its all hassle. Why are the engineers just following the daisy chain of errors fixing one things then saying it is a fault elsewhere, have we lost ll the good mechanics, who know the engines and the faults ? and are we left with monkeys that just follow fault codes..... the saga continues |
