The factory RSE system will reproduce 5.1 Dolby Digital and/or DTS portions of a soundtrack, whether the DVD in the changer is video or audio only. It will also play DTS 5.1 compact discs. These are the only instances where the Logic7 processor really sounds superb in this car IMHO. If you have a choice of either DTS or DD on the same DVD, in my experience the former sounds better than the latter. Of course in countries such as the United States (where DVDs are not viewable on the front monitor, even when parked) it is virtually impossible to make such a choice through the DVD setup menus without hopping on the back seats... But this should not be an issue in Europe, where as I understand you can view and navigate DVDs using the front monitor - as long as you are stationary. If you just press "play", the DVD will usually default to Dolby Digital, and this will be confirmed by the logo appearing for a few seconds on the front monitor.

If you are referring to DVD-A or SACD, the factory RSES is not compatible with either format. Usually those DVDs also include alternate DD or DTS soundtracks however, so you can still pop them in the changer and enjoy that portion of the soundtrack.

Thanks Umberto
also here in europa I believe there is problems to command the dvd from the anterior screen, but we are trying to resolve them, I believe however that is very expensive, therefore we don't know whether to do him/it.
If I resolve the problem I make you know how.
Hi
