Smoogle, I must say that I do agree with your comment to a point. But tell, where lies the price difference then? I know that you are going to respond in brand name but it certainly does not make 70%.

I'd agree with you mate - I think OEM alloys are horrendously overpriced. That's the entire reason the replica industry exists if you ask me

Absolutely agree that the clothing industry has those margins. And certainly there is a big market for replicas out there giving potential to the replica "manufacturers" to expand. But the car industry is a different topic. The asking price is mostly justifiable by material, performance (and all other measures) you are getting.
