It can be done, but if you go to a dealer they are likely to say no, or to charge an arm and a leg - no harm in asking though. On disco3.co.uk, there have been a few threads under the 'electronics' section detailing the Blackbox Faultmate, which is a diagnostic tool that lets you alter the car's configuration files. With this, and the right hardware, you can turn on any option and even change a 'S' into an 'HSE'.

I'll swap you my ACC for your regular system Smile

Why do you want it?
Its a PITA

A bit like having your mum in the passenger seat telling you to slow down but more annoying

Is it possible to switch off the Adaptive part whilst keeping the cruise control on?

Best bit of technology ever invented IMO...

Reduce the cruise gap and then use the warning light to change lanes and it works perfectly... Don't forget you can always over-ride it (without cancelling) if you want to be one of the stereotypical RRS drivers that every other motorist complains about tailgating them... Whistle

I also think its a very good feature of the car. Ive used it twice now on long journeys, and i would miss it if i didnt have it now,

One slight drawback though is jumping into my other cars with normal cruise control... nearly ploughed into the back of another car at full speed on the motorway last week Shocked
