United Arab Emirates 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
'Clocking'

Does anyone know if this is still possible these days ... not that i want to do it of course but a friend of mine is looking at buying a RRS so I went and looked at it the other day and am convinced the mileage seems very low for the condition of the car..way it drives etc etc. Plus he didnt have the service history book Confused Im wandering if anyone with the right software and a laptop can still do this these days

Many thanks Thumbs Up 2006 RRS Supercharged

Well I certainly think it can, and does still happen Shocked.... as when I part ex'd a Freelander (Embarassed) a couple of years back, it was then advertised as having 1000 miles less than I had done in it. It wasn't even as if it had a high mileage BTW, I guess they didn't like the look of 7k on the clock. RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

It's possible but it's also easy for a dealer to do a check on the other 3 stored mileage points, it's not just recorded on the odometer anymore.

just take it to a dealer for a PPI or ask the seller if this is ok, if it's genuine mileage they will be ok about it Thumbs Up

A couple of years ago whne I was still in the UK, I mentioned in passing to a garage owner that I had exceeded my agreed mileage on a lease car - he offered to 'sort' it out for me Shocked

(I didn't do it though)
