Side mirrors dipping when Reverse is selected.

Hi

My RRS's side mirros dip down when reverse is selected. Is there a way to stop them dipping down to look at the kerb.

thanks

...or store the setting in reverse as you like to have them in reverse (e.g. I have them half-down so I can see the curb and still the car behind me). Cool RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

As said above, it's all in the manual...

However: Set your preferred seating and forward driving mirror positions in Memory. Then put car into reverse and adjust mirrors to how you would like them. While still in reverse store the Memory position again (it should say reverse Mirror position stored in the Message Centre).

From now on every time you have that memory position set, the mirrors will go to that position when you reverse.

Is the "Reverse Mirror Dip" option set to "ON" in your personal settings? Malaysia Boleh!

It is possible that this option isn't available in some markets.
However what I would like is to be able to disable the reverse dipping on the driver's side mirror as I very rarely park with the driver's side next to a kerb. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Why don't you just put it in reverse, put the passenger's side mirror down, the driver's side mirror up and store your setting? That's kind of how I did it. Or didn't I get your problem?! Question

I would like to have a button that allows me to drop both mirrors when driving forward which would be very helpful in German car parks which seem to be built for Smarts and have steel curbs (no joke!). Luckily I didn't curb any wheels yet but it yould be easier with optional dipping mirrors. Cool I know I could put them down every time myself when I am in a car park, but I'm too lazy and would like some sort of automatism there!

edit: I just had an idea: My seating position is stored as "1", I will store the same seating position but with dipped mirrors as "2" that should work! Thumbs Up Cool So I can press "2" when entering a car park and "1" when leaving it again. Very Happy RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

McB you need a 2010My with the surround cams.............................. was shown them recently on a demo car, bit of a whizbang gizmo which 99.99% of us could live without I'm sure but it works and tou can see all five or just one cam on the satnav screen, much better than the old Venture Cam (wonder what happened to them!) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

That should be easy, Tim. Save your normal forward settings and then go into reverse. Just dip the passanger side mirror but do not adjust the driver side mirror. Save this reverse mirror setting and voila! your driverside mirror will not move the next time you go into reverse! Malaysia Boleh!

It works! I even have two different mirror-settings for driving backwards now (because you do not need to see curbs but cars when going backwards in a carpark), that's just great! Very Happy And it is a lot cheaper than buying a MY2010...
