HI Just wondering if anybody has experienced no sound from the audio

Just started her up and no sound. Tried tv, sat nav no sound, up and down on the volume....
turned off the engine and restarted no success.(several times)

later on at lunchtime, went out and started the car and the sound is back...
strange?

I wasnt really playing the music loud at the time...so dunno if the system went crazy or what
dunno how to do a reset if that is possible....

off to the dealers tomorrow to do a check up....

Now that you mention it, I think that happened to me on a couple of occasions. Same symptom and then later it would be working again, so I did nothing about it given it only happened rarely.

Well back from a 3 day stint at the dealers...
the audio problem was put down towards my battery levels being too low...this due to the fact that my centre console fridge was always on...mmm no sure about this diagnosis...but we will see...

Personally i reckon it was an MP3 disc i just put in... i reckon it might be that by reading the disc and all the files on it...it might overwrite the memory buffers...as such overwrite some area of code that controls the audio system....cause after a 10 min wait key out... and restart everything is fine...so the system seems to reset.

Anyway time will tell.

My indicator problem was put down to a faulty spring in the indicator stalks etc...so the whole thing was replaced... Toyota Corolla...((((

well after a trip to the dealer for 12month service...and my audio issue has returned...
sound goes off and later the video goes off as well...

last time the dealer said it was because the cool box was draining the battery....but turn off the car, lock it walk away and come back ...it all works again....what the ....! is that battery related??

does anyone know the reset sequence for the audio and gps screen??? Toyota Corolla...((((

I have had exactly the same issue. The dealer has just updated the software so I will see how it goes.. TDV6, MYO7 Java with Ivory leather, 19 inch wheels
