Just would like to say thanks to RRUK for the info in his post about his obsessive cleaning routine.
The Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo,Trim Detailer and Liquid Wax were great very easy to put on and take off, the results are teRRRRRRRRRRRRific.
Did not go as far as all the kit, had to use elbow greese, at least her in doors was pleased with the results as well. RRS HST Supercharged/ Stornoway Grey/Ivory/Piano Black/Sun Roof/Trackstar

I recenly brought the Meguiars alloy wheel cleaner (after reading about the brand on this forum) and I wasn't impressed. It didn't get the RRS wheels as clean as my WonderWheels or Coma cleaner. In fact these struggle too on the RRS (although work great on other cars) - black spots are sticking to the alloys on the RRS. Matt

I would agree 100%. I have found nothing to beat Wonder Wheels but it is evil stuff, rubber glove and brush job. I just wish I could get hold of what the Hand Car Wash uses that I sometimes ivsit it works miricales RRS HST Supercharged/ Stornoway Grey/Ivory/Piano Black/Sun Roof/Trackstar

My pleasure!

I am just about to try out the NXT range as Halfords are selling a cool bag pack full of goodies for only £35.

I agree about their wheel cleaner though, not crash hot at all. Wonder Wheels is better, though I worry about how caustic it is on the wheels. L319 D4 HSE

I've used Wonder Wheels for years on various cars without any problems. However, I do agree with mpwox11 in that the RRS wheels are more difficult to clean for some strange reason, especially the silly little indentations that I suppose are supposed to replicate the screw cut-outs on split-rim wheels. The dirt really seems to stick in those Confused

I don't have any difficultly cleaning the wheels, but I just can't get them properly clean. Small black spots of brake dust just don't budge. It is almost like they are covered in tar spots. Matt

Confused Confused

That sort of suggests to me that you're having difficulty ......doesn't it ??

That's what I meant, difficulty getting the dirt off, not difficulty getting at the dirt.

The NXT kit is really good, a great mit, glass cleaner, shampoo which foams really well even down here on the south coast where the water is very hard and NXT wax. I don't know if the RRS has trouble with the door material that the D3 has (it goes white) but the Meguiars stuff is excellent on it. For the alloys I find that Mer wheel cleaner which is similar to Wonderwheels but easier to use is very good.
