Battery Life

Anyone had any experience of leaving the RRS standing for a while? How long will the battery hold charge for? Gonna be heading off for an extended business trip to Mumbai and would rather not come back to a flat battery, so may have to arrange for somebody to give it a run while I'm away if too short. HSE TD6 (Java Black/Ivory)

How long will you be in Mumbai, Rob? I'd expect the battery to be OK for a few weeks... it's a new car and hopefully nothing is draining the battery when it shouldn't be. Good point about the garage though - if I remember my physics lessons correctly, batteries store charge more effectively in warmer ambient temperatures so it'll be best off put in the garage while you're away.

3 to 4 weeks mabe a little longer, will not be garaged. I left cars for this long before without a problem, but am wary on the RRS what with all the electronic gizmos.

Keep the Porsche & Lotus on battery conditioners which always means they're fine. The Porsche even goes into sleep mode after 5 days and shuts down systems to preserve battery life. HSE TD6 (Java Black/Ivory)

I seem to remember that it's advisable to leave the car in access mode so that the computers don't constantly try and see if the car need leveling! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

It has to be the most gorgeous car pale ble with a dark blue hood. I know the hard to is meant to be better but.....

They told him when he bought it not to turn the TC off unless you want to die Shocked He reckons they aren't far wrong too. But as I pointed out to him it won't go across many fields in it though Laughing

Not sure about the Kingfisher, a bit too light, always went for the Kyalani Black Label and used to stay out at the Leela, unfortunately this time my client has converted Shell's old complex out at Navi Mumbai so will be out there Crying or Very sad.

Actually spent 2 years living in Delhi a few years back so am well familiar with India, albeit Mumbai is a very different scene to Mumbai! HSE TD6 (Java Black/Ivory)

RE Byron

Worth every day of it... wish i could stay for a month even if i had to push it..!! Smile It would be even better to be able to take the RRS with me. I would sleep in it (and avoid the parents in law...!!! Razz ). Here in the States with 55 and 65 mph limit and cops standing in every corner you can't enjoy it.. In Greece is a different story. You can easily go with 100mph (160kmh) and feel that you barely moving in the RRS, and the best... watching the other drivers with the "Uno's" (think they all have porsches) watching your nice back.. Twisted Evil
