more advice appreciated.

Im considering buying an 07 plate v6 hse with 12k miles on it, its a landrover dealer who has it for sale and has owned it since new, although they are not main dealers, they have gave it its first service and tell me they will also give it another before it sells. Its also had a remap done by them, i imagine the sevices will not be on the landrover system, it has under a year warranty left on it.Will the remap if detectable void any landrover warranty if i had a problem?.Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

Main dealers won't detect remaps unless there's a box in the engine (chipped) or if they look for it, which is unlikely. However, they may inadvertently over-write it when updating the ECU.

I would stick with the place you're buying it from - you don't need a main dealer for warranty work, they know the car and will probably offer better customer service than a main dealer.

Thumbs Up

I wouldn't be so sure of that if the dealer concerned is up to speed with the current market Wink there is a National shortage of good used RRS stock at the moment and delaers are having to pay over book on decent cars... I think the big-discount boat sailed a few weeks ago!

I spoke to the owner yesterday and he told me i could have it for 32, that was without trying, i know what im looking for is thin on the ground right now but that won't last forever with a new model coming, its still a lot of money a dealer would rather have in his account than lying on a forecourt, i would think.
