a large insurance company down under GIO are now starting to sell specialised house insurance including flood liability cover etc, which is pretty timely for Northern New South Wales and South East Queensland. The Radio add is a classic, especially when they say, "excludes high tides and rising sea levels ' |

Heard on the news this morning that the President of the Maldives is meeting the Queen today. One question he'll apparently be asking is what he can do about the fact his country won't exist in 20 years time if sea levels continue to rise.... not quite sure what Liz is going to say about that |

Schmoogs Maldives i can except and there is a few low lying South Pacific Island chains in the same predicament, but the majority of OZ .. hmmm perhaps it is raising faster than we think

Yeah that's right.... I wonder if that's the first time that an entire country has moved from one place to another. Will it still be called the Maldives? |

be great if they could pick up the reefs for the diving  got to get there before it all disappears at least to get some dive time in
