If you make it clear to your insurer it was a no fault claim then it normally sets the record straight - you are allowed to claim (obviously) but the no fault terminology needs to be used....

The comparison websites possibly do not account for that, the no fault condition |

That is what I did but these muppets seems to be absolutely useless at anything else than reading their computer screen! Only guess is that because the case is still open as they are still waiting to hear from the other party's insurance despite the incident happening last october.... The protected NCB only protects the discount not the premium, having an accident will increase your risk

Good idea... I'll ask them to remove the claim and see their answer... No need to pay £130 back to them as they have not paid it back to me yet! Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6 Gone: Range Rover Vogue '11 4.4TDV8, Range Rover Sport ‘59, Range Rover Sport ‘56 |

Not suggesting you necessarily go with them, but have you tried getting a quote over the Internet from Direct Line? They have quite a few descriptive items in the drop-down box where you detail any claims, including 'Third Party Vehicle/Object Hit You - Recovery Made' and 'Third Party Vehicle/Object Hit You - Recovery Outstanding'.

Ah... if the claim is still open then it is not attributed a no fault until accepted and closed by the other party, taking your claim back doesn't work either....

Direct line just tried to put my renewal premium up by £100 because i got an sp30 gatso job. Went on meerkats and got it £100 cheaper, with 50% less excess, NCB protected and all the other bits from ASDA Insurance. Now thats "Asda Price" |

You're lucky ... SMWBO's D3 costs more than 2,500 euro per annum to insure over here. Every silver lining has a cloud

Think insures have moved the posts now, its not whos at fault but who has paid. If the other insurers do not settle goes against you. Know from experience Insurance co will guess which way it is likley to go when re newal time comes up.

As discussed on many occasions the main factor to any premium, renewal or new, is your post code, history and the risk associated
