How long for? There are a few "shutdown" noises that continue once you turn the engine off.

I can hear a high pitched whine from under the bonnet that lasts for approx 30 or more seconds after I switch the ignition off. Anyone know what this is and if it's normal?

has someone in the back seats been listening to the CD over the headphones? Or been playing with the 'Gingerbread Man' buttons?

If they have switched one of the [Mode] buttons to CD the car will continually play the CD stack as it won't know there is no-one listening to it any more!

To be honest, only person ever sat in the back has been my 7yo. If anything, he only plays the playstation so i don't see that affecting the cd player mode etc...

If it is some shutdown process then I'll just need to accept that but for how long does this continue once I've left the vehicle? Does it not drain the battery?
