Project TDV8 in a Defender

Here is a very poor video of the TDV8 engine connected to a 6 speed manual box and LT230 transfer box actually runing

This is going into a 100" chassis based on a Defender Very Happy Very Happy

Russell. "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

Excuse my higgorance but which model Defender has a 100" wheelbase............................ currently we have Defender 90, Defender 110 and Defender 130.......................... or is it a Series Land you are using Russ? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Excellent work! Too bad about the delicate Defender diffs etc Twisted Evil or are you using something else?

Hi Tim,

Yes the standard wheelbase on Defenders are as you say, well the 90 is 92.9 actually so all we are doing is extending the wheelbase to 100.

The engine, gearbox and transfer box will fit into a 90, 110 or 130 once perfected.

Going for Disco 2 diffs which are alot stronger but going to have them strengthened, probably through Ashcroft.

Russell, If you've managed to ditch the EGRs on the TDV8, is there any chance BAS will sell a kit to do this?
