I changed front and rears yesterday. A very simple job with a 13 and 15mm (17mm for the front) Spanner, reasonable screw driver (for pushing back the piston - I know I should use a piston compressor but if you are careful and push against the old pad no problem). Simply undo the two 13mm bolts at the rear of the caliper, while holding the 15mm nut. Lift off the caliper and slide out the old pads, slide in the new and replace the bolts in teh caliper. Make sure you use an axle stand for safety. The hardest part is taking the wheel off. Also check if the rotors are too badly worn, you may have to replace those - if so the whole caliper, rather than the slide needs to come off. |
