12V Power outlets

I notice on of the things is that the 12 V power outlets on the RRS dont power on with the ignition key removed. This was a big advantage on the FFRR as it allowed me to leave mobiles in to charge overnight. ANyone know if there is a fix for this. RRS HSE TDV8 Java black/Ebony interior, mud flaps,20" stormers, towing, roofrack, sunroof, cooler V8 Tasmods Sills, black badges, carstyling java black vents

I think this has been discussed before and the answer is that even if you found a live feed it would switch off after 20 minutes anyway. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Just a battery saving feature, I guess... does this mean the FFRR has a higher capacity battery than the RRS?

Yeah, I noticed that when the plug-in vibrator I was using on the girlfriend in the back conked-out after 20 minutes? At least I got to the pub a bit earlier!!! Laughing

Yeah, you wish... what you really mean is that your plug in kettle failed to boil (or maybe that's the same thing) Laughing

The FFRR has a 110 amp hour battery, the RRS and D3 only have 90 amp hour batteries.  Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I wonder if there is a live power feed for the 12v outlets because I tried to use one of them for the dvd player for the kids and every time I switched off the car they had to restart the player. 2009 Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 SE, Alaska White, Almond leather, tinted windows, active rear diff, tow pack, HiICE, full spare: gone and already missed

Try this in the stickys under tips and tricks
12v constant power outlets

not sure if this cuts out after 20 mins but I have a seperate live feed for the dvd screens and the kids can watch that for longer than 20 mins so it is posssible.

Also you can fit a dual battery setup very easily and this will give as many power sockets as you want when you want.

I have 2 live in the rear load area only at mo and charges phones etc and runs an invertor as well 600watt.

run the vibrator on full mains power Laughing

thanks
This is what I was looking for

Strange that LR doesn't fit that from the factory. At least Jeep and VW do that on their SUVs 2009 Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 SE, Alaska White, Almond leather, tinted windows, active rear diff, tow pack, HiICE, full spare: gone and already missed
