I've seen JE's stainless exhausts today and they look very good.
There is a choice of either dual-round or large oval, which I personally prefer.
Either is available for all models including the TDV6. The price is around the £800+VAT mark for a full cats-back system.
I'd love to put one on mine but I don't think I could justify it to "the boss"
I've been promised some pictures so I'll post them as soon as I get them.

RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance!

Ther are pictures of a D3 V8 with dual oval tailpipes and an RRS S/C with quad round tailpipes. However, either option is available for either car and for any engine i.e. V8, V8 S/C or TDV6.
The dual ovals look great in my opinion.
I have also asked about replacement tailpipes for the TDV6 to replace the nasty standard turned down affairs. These can be made available if enough people want them in either quad round or dual oval styles. Therefore, can you please register your interest here so that I can let JE know, or let them know directly of course.

The other day I was sitting behind a Mercedes E class CDI in traffic and I noticed that it had Chrome/Stainless Steel oval exhaust tips. I thought to myself that's not normal cause practically all diesel exhausts are hidden and point downwards.
On closer examination I noticed that it was only the tips and the original exhaust was still present and functioning. The tips were actually fitted over the originals and had a hole at the bottom to allow the exhaust gases to escape as they normally would.
Thought this was quite clever a it would remove the problem or carbion deposits on the rear of the car plus they looked good. Don't know if this was a custom job/factory option. cheers

I've been looking for something like this for ages and haven't found anything. I know Toodeep had to cut back the ends of his pipes and weld on new tips... maybe that's the only way without having to have some specially commissioned. He has pics in his gallery - they look quite good.

Thanks for the pics Paul - I was always looking for a more impressive Oval for my Supercharged, but I think these as featured on the D3 look very similar to my standard set up.

Has JE got the dimmensions for the OVAL - they appear slightly bigger - but measurements are always best.

But for £800 + vat ...........HHhhmmmm - not sure

I know its a full system ( cat back ) but to be honest , like a lot of people on this forum I think were looking for a visual improvement for little cost

My preference would be to have short chrome tips on the diesel exhaust that ideally still pointed downwards. I would not like anything that protruded little more than the current exhaust. Ideally I would prefer some tips that either bolted on or simply pushed on. Maybe if there is enough interest, than we could get someone to make them. I don't want to replace the rear exhaust system - it is far too expensive just to get a bit of chrome showing.

Toodeep's exhaust tips are nice, as these aren't too long.

I think the quad exhausts by JE protude too much...............

I still think the RRS needs Cayenne style exhausts!! It's the only part of the Cayenne worth looking at without damaging your eyes. I don't think the round exhausts, even the quads, suit the shape of the car. What looks great on the back of an M3/M5 doesn't transfer well to a big SUV.

I agree shmoogle , something unique to the sport ( exhaust wise ) would have been nice.

The JE oval tailpipes are approximately 4½" x 3½".

mpwox11 - I'm with you. I'll go for the cheapest option but I want something to show than I'm chucking out tonnes of pollutants! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
