Works great for me but noticed that on the new garage door we now have that i have to press the button longer for the signal to be accepted. Also never works on the subdivision entrance gates as they have some rolling code attached to them and the scary security guard glares at me when I was trying to program the buttons Brit across the Pond

True, same here. Alex, what brand of garage opener are you attempting to operate? Did you wipe the memory clear from all 3 buttons on the rearview mirror before attempting to program the new opener into one of them? That's very important - especially if that button was programmed previously for a different opener (don't know if your car is used or you bought it new, sorry. Either way, I'd wipe the memory clear just to be safe.) If it's a rolling code type, did you push the button thingie on the opener in the garage, the blinking light routine, etc? See page 2 of this thread on rr.net, some step-by-step instructions posted may help you: http://rangerovers.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11514 |
