2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Stornoway Grey with driving light pods added

I had body coloured mirror cowls and the driving light pods fitted last Friday. At CHPR on Saturday somebody ask if I had had the lamp pods colour coded too...................... no I haven't the colour of the grey plastic that LR uses for them is almost a perfect match for Stornoway!

Now all I need to really dazzle folks with badly adjusted headlights is the Expedition roofrack with a row of spotlights on it...................... and a bigger battery! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced

Meant to ask....I presume one of the lower ones is a driving light that comes on with main beam and the other is the fog lamp Question TDV6 - gone

Josh, the inner set are driving lights. What I don't understand is how LR got these approved under constrution regs as the height of fog an driving lights is set out there and my understanding of the rules is that fog lights should be below bumper mid-height and driving lights should be above that height. Both appear to be at the same height with these! LR have been selling the same pods since Freelander1 so they must be OK with the regs. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes you are correct about the construction and use regs..........but these days I doubt you would find any official who would know that or that could be bothered/have the time to do anything about it Rolling Eyes

So you should be ok.

I wonder what would be said at MOT time, as years ago I had a car fail an MOT because the driving lights weren't connected to the same relay switch as the main beam. They worked independently and I had to have it changed so that they only came on with the main beam.

I should think they are pretty useful on unlit country roads. TDV6 - gone

That was the reason for fitting them Josh- I've had too many deer standing in the local lanes and not seeing them soon enough for my liking - the normal headlights are pretty good, these will give a bit of extra reaction time before I have fresh venison on the bonnet! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
