Windscreen Wiper Warning

My windscreen wipers have been "dodgy" for the last couple of days until last night one totally gave up!

Particularly dangerous in this weather!

Took it into stealers, 5 min job to fix.......apparently it is when I have been clearing snow/ice with wipers I am putting strain on it which over time loosens the nut and eventually renders the wiper useless! I was told to wipe the snow with my hand! Every other car I have owned has been able to cope with wiping snow and ice....perhaps the RRS wipers are sub standard?

Is your heated front screen not working? That gets rid of the ice in about a minute and then your wipers can operate no problem. If you want hot air from the screen vents more rapidly then press the PROG button above the heated front and rear screen buttons and that will force the FBH to start blowing hot air onto the screen sooner too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

You guys got loads more snow than we did - in the last week we've had about 2" of it here in the Central Belt.
Further north has had as much as London, that's why i had to take a 250 mile round trip to find enough to have some fun in at the weekend. While you have been cut off from the outside world we have had some pretty cold days and even colder nights down to -8C here and -17C up in Aberdeen 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My wipers did this last Frriday, put the wipers on and the drivers side was going slower than the passenger side and they were hitting each other followed by the drivers side stopping completely. Luckily I was close to home and tightened the nut holding the driver wiper arm on about 1/8 turn with a socket set and no further problems.

Put it down to poor workmanship in the factory!
