Sat Nav & Start up

On my old TDV6 the sat nav didn't start up from fresh - (when the LR logo appears) everytime the car is started. My new TDV8 will reboot the sat nav system each time the car is started, this is a pain as it takes a few seconds longer than I'm previously used to. What happens on others RRS's? I have a feeling my old RRS was right and this new one faulty. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

My TDv8 does the same thing VA. However if I'm actually using the routing and stop and turn-off, when I restart the satnav resumes the route where it was, I don't have to start the route over again. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Every time I start up I have to agree not to be distracted, pull wings off flys and promise to be good before Nav has the deciency to allow me to see it. Is there a way to avoid this each time or is it something I need to live with?

My MY06 (US specs, so we still have the on-the-move restrictions) will shut off the satnav maybe a couple of minutes after turning off the engine and removing the key from the ignition... Usually after the clock disappears from the radio LCD, it's when the computers go to sleep. Within those 2 minutes, if I restart the engine the satnav comes back up where I left it, no LR logo or "Agree" disclaimer. Otherwise it's a full reboot in my car as well, masked by the Land Rover logo while it happens. Like Tim said, the only thing the satnav will remember is that I still haven't reached my destination or waypoint if I turn off the engine before getting there, so it will resume guidance from that point - but it will still go through the reboot routine.
