please help
i recently purchased an rrs ipod integration kit and i started to fit it,as per instrutions it said pull off gear knob so i tryed while car was in park,it wasn,t happening,so i pulled harder and it came off.. BUT the plastic shaft from the gear knob down through the gear lever broke in half. half still on knob other half in lever, i can still drive but the trigger on the knob does not work. DOES anyone know how to get the other half out and is it a big job to remove gear lever to get the other half of the plastic shaft???????????[/u]

Isn't the press button there to activate the safety interlock that stops you accidentally going straight from R to D or the other way ........ hi tim,there is nothing wrong with the electronics but yes i can go from d to r and visa versa no problem, the shaft is connected to the button mechanically but you may be right a bout the dealer
