Would make me a very happy man as well!!
Got an email from these guys yesterday saying they now have over 100,000 members or something, and they would be kicking off in April approx 2006 and cards would be sent out.
Lets wait and see if this isn't just a massive data mining excercise and we are all going to be spammed with a load of Censored after they have sold our contact details to another marketing company.. not usually cynical but have this idea in my head now.. my business studies teacher always said: "never sign up to store loyalty cards at the supermarkets" as they use them to know who is buying what, so that they can monitor you're buying habbits and then sell ur info and then you will be spamm'd with loads of mail etc.. big brother society and all that..

kam - I'm of that opinion as well but I always give a pobox/my parents address or an old address where mail will be forwarded from plus a false name when I sign up for these things. I doubt it makes a difference but I like to think it might confuse matters a little! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

If i get stopped by one of them very attractive girls trying to sign me up for a new credit card at the most annoying places imaginable, the airport/the service station etc, if i have a minute to spare, i usually give a neighbours address or something.. im too nice and can't tell them to F off.. although love doing it to the barclaycard man at our local shopping centre, he tries every time he sees me but i just blank him..

But saying all that.. marketing information ain't all bad.
I got invited to Bmw's Experience day by complete random selection a couple of years ago, me and my mate were invited to come to rockingham and hoon around their whole range of cars round the local roads and round the track. One of the best days ever! Got to cane a CSL and an M3 around a race track and all for free! Plus food was good, and numbers weren't that high so got to do mostly everything we wanted to. Skid pan was a bit crap, but the end of the day laps with the instructors was a real eye opener, never knew an X5 could get onto 3 wheels at 80mph round a corner, and how quick a 545i really is!

Thankfully that was all due to not ticking one of the small boxes at the bottom of some form sometime..

You remember when that was Kam? I went to a very similar day at Rockingham once too. It wasn't by random though - I was a constant thorn in the side of my BMW dealer and I encouraged the wife to befriend the dealer's marketing girl too, so whenever anything exciting happened I got an invite Wink

Was a nice sunny day if you recall, we took the 3 series convertible out for a spin on the local route, caned the hell out of it.. was real fun.
For some reason when we left it the alarm kept going off on it.

By the way, we won the blind fold thing in the 3 series compact. (didn't cheat.. honest!!) Have the photos too, that was a real hoot, i was driving, my friend was navigating, won a bottle of champers.. not good considering i don't drink but my friend enjoyed it at some point im sure.

We bumped into a girl that went to my uni as well, she was working for Bmw on her placement year and was on event support, that would have been my dream job i think! working at rockingham, imagine what they get up to after the public leave! CSL, 645ci, 545i at their disposal plus countless X5's and X3's and the off road course!

We went on the Saturday and came back having ordered a CSL (overpriced piece of junk, but good noise). If only we had known about our RRs.co.uk futures! we could have had a beer or a (kam) 7up.

BTW Thanks for the fuel card link - just joined and got my employees to join too. 11 XFR

08 RRS TDV8 HSE with the good bits taken off the first RRS

05 RR Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red (Rimini Brown at events), Stormer wheels (original 19's for events), PTI, towpack. TV tuner (now driven by an employee)

1923 Ford Model T (serious ground clearance)

FFRR TDV8 Vogue my07 (wife won't let me use it in case I go to Salisbury with VA in it)

plus some other bits n' pieces

My little boy was only about 6 weeks old that weekend and the wife seemed to be quite upset about the fact that I spent a large amount of time surrounded by the event girls Wink
