I thought the day people came back to V8's was long gone....and often wondered what the US market would be without V8's. I still need a lot of convincing that there is scope to run a V12 cost effectively...... |

I read that about RR S/C in Autocar too, but much more interesting is the road test of the Jaguar XFR and XKR with the new 5.0l engine in TG mag. Audi RS's, BMW M's and Merc AMG's have something to be truly worried about - the motor (which will also be in RRS and FFRR) is significantly more economical than all three (and the out going 4.2 S/C according to TG), emissions are less than 300 whatevers whereas the others are in excess of 360 and the peak power and torque are available very low (for a petrol engine!) revs without having to rev the nuts of the engine. Now how much would James give as apart ex of an RRS Tdv8 against an the XFR which will sell for £59900? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
