2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Not anticipating driving off the slabs with the RRS TB, the main idea was to allow the postman to be able to walk up the right side of the drive without dragging his satchel thing with scratchy buckles on it down the side of the car. We positioned the car on the old drive beforehand to get the left set of slabs far enough over so that there was room on the right side. Now the postman will get his eyes poked out by the branches of the cherry tree(until I get it chopped down), and thats better for me than getting the car scratched!! The only problem will be opening the passenger door of the RRS with out banging it on the retaining wall, but as I very rarely have a passenger in the car that isn't a huge problem. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

There will be more work for the same guys later in the year. 3 of my neighbours have been impressed enough with the work that they have asked the same guys to relay their drives and one to have their whole patio (40ft by 80ft) lifted and relayed too. So having been the only company that turned up on time and delivered a quote out of three companies asked they have actually done quite well out of one small job here. The boss told me yesterday that had we all got together and had a "joblot" of drive relaying etc then we would have got a discount as it keeps the team employed through the winter when the weather isn't suitable for stonedyke building, which is their normal employment.
As a group, 6 of us got together in the Autumn to have all our, now mature, trees pruned / cut down as a single job - we saved a tidy sum as one company came out with 2 Defender 110 HCPU - one with a hydarulic arm thing and tidied up 6 gardens worth of tress in 2 days.
BTW we found out as result of the above that in Scotland all trees over a certain height have a preservation order on them so one of my neighbours had to go through a load of council hoops to get one lopsided and dying tree
cut down - the felling company even looked after getting the permission to chop that tree down in the end when she was getting no-where with the council. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
