Switzerland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
iPhone 3G and Bluetooth...

So.... According to the official Land Rover site, the iPhone 3G is fully compatible with the Bluetooth system..

Well, no.

It does not keep the paring (have to manually put 2121 code each time) and does not transfer the address book and latest calls. Been to the dealer, and it seems my bluetooth module has already the latest firmware. Needless to say my iPhone 3G has the latest software as well...
Anyone has experienced this and has any tips?

Thanks!

I have the 3g and all functions work fine. There is one problem with the current apple software - the first call you get once paired will answer but be unable to hear the caller or be heard by the caller. A fix is on it's way apparently. The other pain is that when the phone book is transfered the contacts are sorted by surname and not first name. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

You updated your bluetooth module at the dealer or it's the original software?

Quite strange, because as I said, mine works at a very basic level... No automaic pairing, no phone book, no call register... Just calling and answering and by the way, I don't have your "first call problem"...

There's no way to tell the bluetooth module software by ourselves right?

You should NOT require any software update. I have used both the IPhone 2G and 3G on my system and all is well, including auto pairing, phone book. You will not however get call register, that does not work with the Iphone. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Korenai - if I were you I would try and find another iphone to test on your RRS and if the problem is still there take your car to a LR explain the problem, point them to this site and thread etc and get it fixed under warranty. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I'm considering changing my contract over to an iPhone3g but it sounds like I should just stick with my Blackberry Pearl and Motrola V3i and avoid a mountain of hassles............................ bought a used Nokia 6310i for my father and that pairs 1st time every time, has no problems with reading the registers but what I really need now is the cradle................
Sometimes I think technology is getting a bit ahead of itself... maybe we should stick to KISS................... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I have an iphone 3G and previously had a nokia e90. Both of them work fine with regards to phone calls, but none of them ever managed to transfer my contact on to the range... Even though everytime the car goes to service I demand the bluetooth update, it never seem to work...

I have a 3g with an 06 RRS. I frequently have to un-pair and re-pair. I have no phonebook or anything like that.
